Jeddah’s Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) recently welcomed the arrival of the 4600 TEU capacity Jolly Argento, the inaugural full container vessel joining the Messina Line fleet, as it made its maiden call at the terminal, accompanied by brand new Messina Line containers. RSGT says it was “delighted to showcase our substantial capacity and establish a prosperous outlook for future operations.”
This event marks the beginning of enhanced collaboration between RSGT and Messina Line, which has decided to partially replace its fleet of con-ro vessels with full containerships. The Jolly Argento, one of two new vessels the company has ordered, loaded containers in China, which were offloaded primarily in Jeddah, before the vessel sailed on to Northern Europe.
