One of the leading terminal operators in Jeddah Islamic Port, Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT), has taken delivery of three new Ship-to-Shore (STS) gantry cranes for its North Container Terminal (NCT) facility. NCT is now home to 24 STS cranes as the latest arrivals are part of an ongoing investment programme that aims to boost annual capacity to 8.8 million TEU from 5. 2 million TEU at present. NCT features 3300m of quay, with a water depth alongside of 18m, allowing it to handle the largest containership types.
Last December the terminal celebrated another key milestone, RSGT welcomed the 10,000th vessel since it opened in 2009.
