Leading container shipping group, Ocean Network Express (ONE) is opening its West Asia Regional Headquarters in Dubai. This strategic move aims to accelerate ONE’s growth and expand its presence in the rapidly developing markets of the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East and East Africa.
The West Asia Regional Headquarters office will serve as ONE’s central hub across these markets, encompassing key functions such as commercial activities, customer service and digitisation. It will also house a team dedicated to developing regional trade partnerships and exploring new business opportunities within the region.
Sundeep Sibal has been appointed as the Regional Director of ONE’s West Asia Regional Headquarters, effective April 1st 2024. A shipping veteran, he was previously responsible for MOL’s regional businesses in the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
Jeremy Nixon, CEO of ONE, said, “The Middle East, Indian subcontinent and East Africa regions have become increasingly key growth markets for ONE, for both our inter-regional and deep sea network customers. It is therefore appropriate that ONE now moves the regional oversight of this region from Singapore to Dubai, by setting up a new regional headquarters office closer to these key markets.”
In 2024, ONE is expecting the deployment of several new regional services, including the West India North America (WIN) service and Indian Ocean Mediterranean (IOM) service as well as an expanded Intra Asia loop network.
