Qatar-based offshore and marine repair facility, N-KOM, is being rebranded as Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions. According to the company, the rebranding marks a significant milestone in the company’s history and reflects its aim of delivering sustainable marine and offshore technological solutions while emphasising the importance of its geographical location in the State of Qatar.
Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions has worked on many of the largest and most complex ships in terms of technology over the years, particularly in the LNG sector, and has recently signed a number of contracts with leading suppliers of specialised services. This includes MOUs with Cryo Pump Repair, covering the repair and servicing of rotating equipment on LNG and LPG carriers, and a deal with MAN Offshore and Marine to maintain, repair and overhaul engines, turbochargers and electronic control systems.

Established as N-KOM, a joint venture between Nakilat and Keppel Offshore & Marine, in 2010, Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions operates within the Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard in Ras Laffan Industrial City. The company offers a variety of repair, conversion, maintenance and fabrication services for marine vessels as well as offshore and onshore structures.
