Bunker supply specialist Monjasa has acquired two more tankers to expand its regional fleet. The 68,589 dwt Monjasa Leader and 13,051 Monjasa Refiner will initially be used for floating storage and bunker operations in West Africa.
Monjasa Leader becomes the largest vessel in the Monjasa fleet and is described by the company as “our single most important tanker acquisition ever.” The company took delivery of the vessel, formerly Cabo San Antonio, in Algeciras, Spain and the other vessel, Monjasa Refiner, formerly Saturn, in Bremerhaven, Germany. Both tankers were then dry docked for renewal surveys, name changes and subsequent hull blasting and painting to match the Monjasa fleet design.
