Abu Dhabi-based Maqta Gateway has acquired TTEK Inc., a developer of border control and customs systems, in a bid to reinforce its market position as a leading digital trade solutions provider.
The acquisition will extend Maqta Gateway’s existing digital trade capabilities by incorporating border optimisation management solutions, which utilise technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced risk analytics. TTEK’s solutions are said to “merge deductive and inductive analytics with predictive modelling to form a powerful machine learning platform for customs, immigration, policing and border agencies.”
By incorporating TTEK’s predictive technology-based solutions into its Single Window portfolio, Maqta Gateway expects to generate improvements in border security, trade facilitation and customs revenue management.
