Ahlibank has been appointed as the sole financial advisor to support the Omani Port of Duqm’s expansion plans. In particular the Port of Duqm is preparing to set up a steel hub which will require significant new port infrastructure, and related funding, which ahlibank will lead on.
Hanaa Al Kharusi, senior general manager of Wholesale Banking at Ahlibank, said,”This financing deal is a significant milestone as it represents one of the most strategic greenfield projects to be financed in Oman to date.
